Our Story
My Friend’s a Nurse began with a simple vision: to help improve pregnancy, postpartum, and newborn care, making it more personal, more compassionate, and more accessible.
Founded by Colette Wagholikar, RN, a labor and delivery nurse with years of hands-on, high risk experience, our company was created out of the belief that families deserve more than rushed appointments and unanswered questions. Colette saw firsthand how much of a difference it makes when someone truly listens, explains, and supports families through every stage of their journey.
Today, we’ve grown into a team of experienced labor & delivery, postpartum, and NICU nurses who bring hospital-grade care directly into the home. Our mission is the same as the day we began: to walk beside families and providers with a blend of medical expertise and heartfelt compassion.
Why we do this work
Every family’s journey is unique. Some parents want extra reassurance during pregnancy, others need help with newborn transitions, and many simply long for someone to answer their questions without judgment or rush.
We believe that support should feel both professional and personal. By bringing skilled nurses into the home, we bridge the gaps in traditional care, helping families feel safe, confident, and cared for in one of the most important seasons of life.
